Using Sonar with Fireflies.

A notetaker records your Zoom, Meet and Teams calls alike, so one Fireflies connection covers every meeting tool you use. Each week Sonar takes the transcripts from the last seven days, up to five meetings, and mines them in one pass for moments: a decision, a win, a lesson. Each transcript is clipped so five long calls stay readable, and the text is discarded after the pass.

There are two doors. One click sends you to Fireflies to approve Sonar, with nothing to configure, and the read runs through Fireflies' own connection. Paste a key instead and Sonar reads through Fireflies' API. Either way it is read-only, once a week, with the receipt on the row.

Fireflies transcripts carry a speaker name on every sentence, so with a key this source can also teach Sonar your spoken register from your own lines only. That is a separate opt-in in Settings, Voice, off until you turn it on, and it shapes scripts and takes, never your written posts.

• A Fireflies account with recorded meetings. For the one-click door, that is all.

   Open Connected sources

   Sign in at app.meetsonar.co and open Settings, Connected sources. The Fireflies row offers both doors: a one-click connect and a key field.

   One click: approve at Fireflies

   Choose the one-click connect. Fireflies' sign-in asks you to allow Sonar; approve, and you land back in Sonar with the connection made and the first read running.

   In Fireflies, open Integrations, Fireflies API and copy your key. Paste it into the row; Sonar keeps it server side and runs the first read.

   Let the first read run

   Moments from the last seven days of meetings land on Home shortly after. The row's receipt shows how many meetings were read and how many moments were kept, with the titles.

There is nothing to operate. Sonar reads about once a week and after you connect; the Sync all button at the top of Connected sources runs every source now. Each read covers the last seven days and up to five meetings; the row shows the receipt.

Moments land on Home and in the chat as material for drafts in your voice, with Fireflies as provenance, and the freshest are dealt into your weekly deck. In a draft, the people on the call become roles.

If you want your own lines to teach your spoken voice, connect with a key and turn the sources switch on in Settings, Voice; it names Fireflies among the sources it reads.

Settings, Connected sources, flip the Fireflies switch off. A one-click connection is revoked at Fireflies and deleted; a pasted key is deleted. Nothing from Fireflies can be read from then on. Regenerating the key inside Fireflies retires the old one as well.

Moments already mined stay in your workspace because they are yours: delete any one, everything from Fireflies, or all of them in Settings, Intelligence, Moments, or set a retention rule of 30 days, 90 days or a year.

Transcript text is processed in memory and discarded after the extraction pass; it is never stored. What stays is the moments (a title, an angle, one line of detail, the meeting's title as provenance) and the row's receipt. Keys and tokens are server side only and encrypted at rest.

Your transcripts are sent transiently to the AI provider that mines them and not retained for training under its API terms; they are never shared with other users.
