Taplio vs Supergrow, compared on what each one asks of you

Both are good at what they do and both start from a blank box. Prices read from their own sites on 22 September 2026, plus an honest note on where we fit, since we sell the alternative.

We make a competing product, so read this with that in mind. What follows is what their own sites say, dated, plus the distinction we think actually decides it.

The prices, read on 22 September 2026

Taplio starts at $39 a month for Starter, which covers scheduling and core analytics. Growth at $69 a month is the first plan whose card lists AI writing. Pro is $199 a month. Paid annually those become roughly $32, $49 and $149.

Supergrow starts at $19 a month for Starter, $39 for Pro, and $139 a month for Teams, which covers four accounts. Annually those are about $16, $31 and $133. Every plan opens with a 7-day trial.

Both figures come from the vendors' own pages on that date, and both companies change pricing, so check before you buy. The longer breakdowns are on our Taplio review and Supergrow review.

On price alone Supergrow is the cheaper entry by a distance, and the cheapest route to AI drafting: $19 against Taplio's $69, because Taplio puts AI writing behind its middle tier.

What each is actually for

Taplio is the broader platform. Scheduling, analytics, a large searchable database of high-performing posts for inspiration, lead features and team collaboration on the upper plans. If you want one tool that covers most of what a person does on LinkedIn, it is the more complete answer, and it is the more established one.

Supergrow is narrower and more opinionated about drafting. It builds a style profile from your writing, runs AI interview sessions to pull content out of you by asking questions, repurposes long material into posts, and carries carousels and infographics. The Teams plan at four accounts is notably cheap for an agency running a handful of founders.

If the choice is only between these two: Taplio if you want breadth and a mature product, Supergrow if drafting quality per pound is the thing and you like being interviewed.

The thing they share

Both start from a blank box.

Taplio's inspiration database and Supergrow's interview sessions are both answers to the same underlying problem, which is that the tool does not know what happened to you this week. One solves it by showing you what worked for other people. The other solves it by asking you questions until you produce the material.

Both work. Both put the retrieval job on you, either as "find something in this database that I can adapt" or as "sit down and answer questions for fifteen minutes."

That is the gap we built into, so treat the next section as the pitch it is.

Where we sit

Sonar connects read-only to the places your work already happens, calendar, meeting transcripts, Slack, notes, and keeps the moments worth saying: a decision, a win, a lesson, a number that moved. The drafting starts from those rather than from a prompt or a database.

It is $99 a month for both LinkedIn and X, with a 7-day trial. That is more than either of the above, and the honest reason is that reading your week costs more to run than generating from a prompt.

Where we would not pick us: if you want a large inspiration database, Taplio has one and we do not compete on that. If $19 a month is the budget, Supergrow is the answer and we are not. If you only want scheduling, both of them are cheaper than us and either will do it.

Where the week-as-source approach earns the difference is when the reason your posts feel generic is that the specific material never makes it to the writing step. No amount of prompting fixes that, because the prompt is the bottleneck.

Choosing between the three

Ask what the actual blocker is.

If the blocker is scheduling and measurement, buy the cheapest thing that schedules well. If the blocker is that you write badly or slowly, an interview-driven tool like Supergrow earns its money. If the blocker is that you cannot remember what happened this week by the time you sit down, that is the one that neither a database nor a prompt reaches.

Most founders we talk to think their problem is the second and discover it is the third.

Questions

Is Taplio worth the jump to $69 a month?

Only if you want the AI writing, because that is what the Growth tier adds over Starter. If you are buying Taplio for scheduling, the database and analytics, Starter at $39 covers it and the jump buys you a drafting feature you may not use.

Can Supergrow's Teams plan run an agency?

For four founders, yes, and at $139 a month it is the cheapest per-seat option in this comparison. Past four accounts their FAQ points you at an enterprise conversation.

Do any of these publish to X as well as LinkedIn?

Taplio and Supergrow are LinkedIn-focused products. If you are building on both LinkedIn and X from the same week of work, that is a real difference and it is the one we would point at first, alongside the source question above.
