A LinkedIn post becomes an X thread, in your X voice.
Sonar treats X as its own platform. It imports your own X posts, learns your X register from them, writes a LinkedIn idea again as a native take or thread, splits anything over 280 characters into a thread at sentence boundaries, and publishes it, media included, when you say so.

Invented for this page, for the landing's invented founder. The sibling was written from the idea, and reuses none of the LinkedIn sentences. The register decides by the idea's size whether it is one take or a thread, and a story with a setup, a turn and a payoff is a thread. The people rule holds on both: the client is "a client".
X as its own platform
Learned from your posts. Published by X's rules.
The X register is the same person on a faster platform. Sonar learns what changes in how you write there, and lets the platform's limits decide the shape.
Your X register, learned
- On connect, Sonar imports your own recent original posts, up to 100. Retweets are left out, and a thread you wrote counts as one post with its engagement summed.
- At 20 real posts your Intelligence Pack gains an X voice register learned from them: what changes in your writing on the faster platform. Who you are stays the same.
- Below 20, Sonar drafts for X by rule: compressed, direct, hook-first, no hashtags, emojis only if your own writing uses them.
- Your X posts also join your history with their likes, replies and reposts, measured against your own X average. LinkedIn has its own.
The physics
- 280 characters per post on a free account; 25,000 on Premium. Sonar reads which you are from X when you connect and again on every import.
- On a free account, a take over 280 characters is split into a thread at sentence boundaries the moment it is saved. You can reshape it any way you like after.
- A thread is a line of three dashes between posts. One thread is one post on your calendar, so a five-post thread never counts as five.
- Before any post is sent, every segment is checked against your account's limit. X never sees an over-limit post.
Publishing
- A thread posts as a chain: each post replies to the one before, and the first post carries the media.
- Images and video upload through X's chunked upload, in 4 MB segments; a video waits until X has finished processing it. MP4 with H.264 and AAC is what X accepts.
- A reaction to someone else's post publishes as a native quote post, with your one or two framing lines above it.
- Post to X now in the drawer, or schedule: a check every 15 minutes publishes what is due. Only a post you scheduled goes out on its own.
What the connection can do
- Read your posts and profile, write posts, upload media, and stay connected: tweet.read, tweet.write, users.read, media.write and offline.access.
- One-tap reposts of posts worth boosting, from Home, the Insights desks and the Library.
- Track the people on your watchlist, and the top of your niche, on X through your own connection.
- Turn it off in Settings and Sonar revokes the token at X and deletes it.
A founder who chose X alone never hears about LinkedIn, and the reverse. Sonar's drafting instructions carry that contract, so a single-platform founder is never offered a cross-post. Where the LinkedIn side differs is on the LinkedIn page.

Choose X as one of your platforms
At sign-up, answer Where do you build your audience? with X or both. Already in? Settings, Brief has the same switch. Every surface then renders X.

Flip the X switch
In Settings, Profile, under Publishing, flip X on. X's consent screen asks to read your posts and profile, write posts, upload media and stay connected. Choose Authorize app.

Let the import run
Your own recent original posts come in on their own, up to 100. They join your history with their numbers, and at 20 posts your Intelligence Pack learns your X register from them.

Draft for X, or ask for the sibling
Pick X as the target in Compose, or open a LinkedIn draft and ask for its X version. A one-beat idea comes back as a take; a story or an argument comes back as a thread of three to seven posts.

Post now, or schedule
Post to X now in the drawer publishes the take or the chain and hands back the link to the first post. Or pick a slot: the scheduler publishes it within 15 minutes of the time you chose.
Turning it off is the same switch. Sonar revokes its token with X and deletes it. Your X register stays in your Intelligence Pack, dormant, so switching X off and on again later costs you nothing. Prefer to post by hand? Every take and thread has a Copy button, and a thread copies with a line of three dashes between posts.
