Getting started

Sonar setup, in about three minutes.

Setting Sonar up takes about three minutes and no card: sign in, choose where you build your audience, give Sonar your LinkedIn or connect X, check the brief it pre-filled from your site and profile, and confirm your voice. Sonar builds your Intelligence Pack and deals five drafts; the ones you keep land on your board, the first already scheduled.

Before you start

Have one link ready.

  • Your LinkedIn profile URL

Sonar imports your public posts from it to learn your voice, reads your headline and background, and finds people worth watching. If X is where you build, connect X instead and LinkedIn becomes optional.

  • Your website, if you have one

Optional. Sonar reads it to pre-draft your brief: what you do, who it is for, what makes you different. You check the cards; you do not fill forms.

  • About three minutes

The reads run in the background while you review. No card is asked for during setup; the plan question comes inside the app, after you have seen your first drafts.

The screens

Three screens, a build, and a deck.

Onboarding is short on purpose: Sonar reads your site and your posts while you check what it found. Here is every screen and what it asks.

  1. 01

Go to app.meetsonar.co and choose Sign up. Continue with LinkedIn, with X, or with an email address and a password.

  2. 02

Say where you build your audience

LinkedIn, X or both. The choice shapes every screen after it: your voice is learned from that platform's posts, and with both, one idea becomes a LinkedIn post and a native X thread.

Choosing X or both connects your X account on this screen, since your posts are imported and published through it.

  3. 03

Give Sonar your name and your LinkedIn

Your name, your role (optional; your headline fills it in anyway), your LinkedIn profile URL and, if you like, your website. Continue, and the import, the website read and the watchlist discovery start in the background.

  4. 04

    Check the brief

Sonar shows what it believes about you and asks you to fix anything wrong. First, how your content leads: your personal brand, a blend, or your company. Then what you want to be known for, what you do and for whom, who you write for and what makes them skeptical, what makes you different, what you stand against, and your proof.

Most of it is pre-filled from your site and profile. Two optional extras: where posts should send people, and Off the clock, up to three interests that become lighter personal pillars.

  5. 05

    Confirm your voice

Your imported posts are already in; one choice: keep sounding like them, or point Sonar somewhere new with a note on how you want to sound. With no posts to learn from, five quick either/or rounds set the recipe instead.

  6. 06

    Watch the Pack build

Sonar reads your brief, distills your offer and audience, maps your differentiation, learns your voice from your posts, studies your competitive landscape, composes your Intelligence Pack and drafts your first five posts. A minute or two, staged on screen.

  7. 07

    Keep or skip five drafts

Five drafts, one at a time, in a LinkedIn or X mockup. Swipe right or tap Keep and the draft is saved to your board, the first one scheduled for today and the rest on the days after. Skip one and Sonar asks what was off: pick a reason or say it in a line, and it becomes a standing rule for that platform.

Edit this draft is under the deck if a card is close. Every card has to be decided before the door opens.

  8. 08

Read what Sonar learned, then enter

Your Intelligence Pack is ready: the dimensions it holds, and a note that anything off is a quick fix in Settings, Intelligence. Enter Sonar lands you on Home.

Day one

Home hands you a checklist.

Your first Home is the greeting, today's draft, the weekly deck and a short checklist. Each row is a door; dismiss the list whenever you like and Home fills in around your own material.

  • Meet your Intelligence Pack

The brain behind every draft, readable in Settings, Intelligence. Anything wrong there is a quick edit, and the Pack rebuilds.

  • Set your pillars and pace

The themes Sonar makes you known for, how often you want to post on each platform, and how much of your week goes to deep pieces.

  • Keep your first drafts

The cards you kept in the deck are on your board as drafts, the first already scheduled for today.

  • Build your watchlist

Sonar found a handful of people worth tracking from your own profile. Keep them and your benchmark starts that night.

  • Connect your week

The sources that turn your real week into posts: Google Calendar, Google Meet, Slack, Granola, Fireflies, Wispr Flow, Notion and Zoom. Read-only, one switch each, in Settings, Connected sources.

  • Tell Sonar your story

Your background and your week, chapter by chapter, in your own words, typed or dictated, so every draft knows you. Stories you tell here feed drafts and the weekly deck.

  • Pair the Chrome extension

Sonar for LinkedIn reads your own LinkedIn numbers in your own browser, so your reach is the number LinkedIn shows you.

The plan question also arrives here, a beat after the room loads: 7days free, the card taken at Stripe's checkout and first charged on day 8, or a code if you were given one. The pricing, in full.
